The State Level programme on the occasion of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day was observed on 15th June 2026 at Syrighat District Solan in which total 350 participants were participated.
Further, the Hon’ble Minister (SJ&E) was preside over as Chief Guest on the occasion and the special activities as listed below was organized during the occasion.
• Pledge campaigns against elder abuse.
• Legal awareness on the provision of the Himachal Pradesh Maintenance of Parents and Dependants Act, 2001.
• Health Check-up camp for the Senior Citizens.
• Cultural programmes, debates, essay competitions and poster-making activities on respect and care for elders.
• Talk on inter-generational bounding
• ALICMO Camps under Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana.
