This event, organized by Elderline-Gujarat (C/o HelpAge India) in collaboration with the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment / Women and Child Development, Gujarat, took place on 1st October, 2025, at the Shri Saurashtra Leuva Patel Seva Samaj, Sector 7, Gandhinagar. Aligning with the core vision of the International Day of Older Persons (IDOP) to promote senior welfare, advocate for elder rights, and foster an inclusive society that honors aging with dignity, the gathering drew a total of 216 attendees, prominently including 177 senior citizens. The event brought together key institutional figures such as Shri H. M. Panchal (President, Senior Citizens Council, Gandhinagar), Shri Kishorbhai V. Sheladiya (President, Shri Saurashtra Leuva Patel Seva Samaj), and Shri Jitendrasinh Solanki from Samaj Suraksha, Gandhinagar. Shri Shankarsinh Gohil (Member, Gujarat Bar Council & President, Gandhinagar Bar Association) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while the insightful panel discussions featured Shri Avinash Raval (CSR) and Shri Pavan Jain (Chief Operating Officer, Yuva Unstoppable) to further the shared mission of empowering and protecting our elderly community.
