Elder-line Gujarat c/o HelpAge India and Social Justice for Women and Child welfare department Gujarat as organised a joint awareness program for senior citizens of Gandhinagar as part of Elder Abuse day. nearly 184 senior citizens attended the event. Event was attended by Smt Miraben Patel Mayor Gandhinagar, Mr. Shital Gurjar Sir Dy Sp Nodel SDRF, Ms Shital Raval Probation officer from Social Justice and Empowerment and Dr Parth Goswami Health Officer Gandhinagar. More then 184 senior citizens marked their attendance in this event from 4 different Senior Citizens Associations of Gandhinagar. World Elder Abuse Awareness Day was initiated by the International Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse (INPEA) and officially recognized as a UN day by the United Nations General.
