About DAIC
The area of state-of-the-art Centre is approximately 3.25 acre in the heart of Delhi and is housed in a 3-storey building that includes the administrative block and other facilities. The exterior holds a wide variety of green plants that add to the aesthetics of the place. It has a 18-feet bronze statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, a small Amphitheatre, two Chitya Arches, two Red Stone Toran Gates, a Buddha Statue and the imposing Ashoka Stambh on the right facade. The centre has a huge circular area on the ground floor under the dome. Here is a large statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar sitting cross-legged on the chair. The information to conduct programmes and to book other facilities is available at the reception at DAIC.

Infrastructure
Library and Computer Center
There is a world class library at 2nd floor having work stations with accessibility to e-library with around one million e-resource. Library has a separate reading room and a special section on Dr. Ambedkar and Buddhism that has been created for study and research. Besides there is computer centre for conducting research work. Library is open for public from 10:00 A.M. to 06:00 P.M. Monday to Friday, Saturday: 10:30 A.M. to 05:00 P.M.
Auditorium
On the ground floor, there are three Auditorium ‘BHIM’ (700 seats), ‘NALANDA’ and ‘SAMRASTHA’ (100 seats each) with attractive interior. Bhim Hall and Nalanda is equipped with Language translator for 8 languages
Conference Halls
There are two Conference halls with 70 seating capacity and 1 with 40 seating capacity of international standards are available for booking.
Cafeteria cum Dining Area
On the 2nd floor, Visitors and guests can use the facility of Cafeteria. The booking Cafeteria cum Dinning Area is available. Timings:09:30 AM to 05:30 PM
Shravasti
On 1st floor there are two Shravastis with standerdised seating arrangement for VIP.
Security and Safety System
Adequate security and safety measures are existing at DAIC that has CCTV cameras, visitor management system, X-ray machine and boom bollards to ensure safety of the students and employees and intergrity of the property

Mission
The mission of DAIC Liabrary is to act as a gateway to the world of knowledge in the identified discipline by networking with renowned libraries in India and abroad.
OPENING HOURS
10:00 A.M. to 06:00 P.M. Monday to Friday, Saturday : 10:30 A.M. to 05:00 P.M. :The library will remain closed on all public holidays notified by Government of India. All users must prepare to leave the library and exit the building premises by closing time. The members may borrow loan items until ten minutes before the closing time.
DAIC Library’s Rules
- Conduct not conducive to the proper use of the library is forbidden.
- Noise, disturbance or unruly behaviour is forbidden in any part of the library.
- Smoking, food and drinks are not allowed in the library.
- Silence shall be observed in the public areas of the library. Mobile phones, pagers and watch alarms should be switched off before entering the library.
- Users of the library should be decently dressed.
- Loitering in the library is prohibited.
- Library materials must not be taken out of the library unless a Library staff has properly issued them.
- All books and personal belongings must be shown to the staff at the library exits whenever required to do so.
- No bag, case, umbrella, personal book, CD-ROM, or floppy disk should be brought into the Library. They should be deposited at the property counter at one’s own risk.
- Mutilation and theft of library materials are offences punishable by law. Appropriate action will be taken by the Library against offenders.
- Library books and documents must be treated with honour, so that it is prohibited to underline, write notes or pull out pages there from.
- The library will not be held responsible for the loss of any personal belongings of users.
- The members should inform the library their new designations, official addresses and addresses of communication as and when they move to new assignments or locations.
- The library staff has the right to ask users to leave the library if they are inappropriately dressed or are causing a disturbance.
- The library staff has the right to ask a non-member to leave the library.
