The International Day of Older Persons 2025, supported by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, was observed by Mission Foundation Movement at Aizawl, Mizoram. The programme was inaugurated by the Hon’ble PWD Minister, Mr. Vanlalhlana, as Chief Guest. The key highlights of the event were an awareness session on Digital Literacy to equip elders with essential digital knowledge and an informative talk on the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens (MWPSC) Act, 2007 to make them aware of their rights and protections.
The event also included a pledge ceremony, honoring of elders, and cultural performances. A total of 120 elders participated in the programme.
