A synopsis of Health & Wellness Camp in Bankura, Gangajalghati – Block(Gram), Bisinda, Bankura, West Bengal,722133.
“He who has “WHY” to live can bear almost any “HOW”.
CMIG conducted a Health & Wellness Camp in the remote area of Gangajalghati, Block(Gram), Bisinda, Bankura, West Bengal,722133.
The mission was unique in the sense that never before a Health Camp of this nature has been conducted amidst the tribal population of the district. Apart from routine Medical Camp activities, we unearthed a new ‘mode’ of maintaining well-being amongst the Senior Citizens of the tribal populace.
Crescent Formation: 8 females standing hand-in-hand flanked by 4 (2+2) male drummers formed a ‘Crescent” Like standing orientation The drums started beating slowly yet rhythmically synergized with the local tribal song. The ‘Crescent ‘group initiated a slow dance with a rhythm that felt subline, reflective of the serene gleam of the ‘Silver moon’. This form of entertainment was something, seemed almost effortless and yet it served to increase body balance, unified rhythm, solace of the heart as well as strengthening the core soft twitch muscles which are the prime movers of enhanced stance posture control and stability of gait. Detailed feedback was taken from each & every participant of this mega event.
Percentage distribution of major health issues of the area was documented which will be included as a pie chart in main report which will facilitate detailed understanding of necessary and pertinent interventions to promote Healthy Ageing a defined by WHO amongst the Senior Citizens of the tribal fraternity.
